INPEX travel amenity card

As an INPEX traveller, you'll receive a $30 food and beverage allocation per flight in the form of a digital prepaid Visa card, securely delivered by the iGoDirect Group and their brand True Rewards.

By using the INPEX amenity card, you are agreeing to INPEX’s terms and conditions.

  1. For eligible travel, INPEX travellers will receive a food and beverage allocation in the form of a digital prepaid Visa card, securely delivered by the iGoDirect Group under their True Rewards brand.
  2. By using the card, travellers agree to the following terms and conditions:
    1. The allocation is $30 per flight.
    2. The allocation is to be used for food and beverage purchases for the INPEX traveller only (and not other passengers) per eligible travel i.e. in-flight food and beverages during work travel with Virgin Australia, as well as at the nominated merchants at the Darwin International Airport.
    3. The total allocation amount may be used in a single transaction or across multiple transactions during the eligible travel.
    4. Overspent amounts may be recovered through reduced future allocations to offset the overspend.
    5. Any unused portion of the total allocation does not carry forward or accumulate for future eligible travel.
    6. Inappropriate use, including consistently and/or significantly exceeding the maximum value or using the card for non–food and beverage items, may result in the benefit being reviewed and/or cancelled.

How do I activate my INPEX amenity card?

The steps to activate your card are simple and safe.

1. You will receive a text with ‘INPEX’ as the sender to your mobile number inviting you to add the Visa digital card to your wallet.

2. Click on the link, receive a one-time code and verify that you are the intended cardholder, then tap “add to wallet”.

3. This will be the card that you use each time you fly.

How do I check my balance?

Open the SMS from INPEX and click on the link. Verify your OTP and your current card balance will be displayed.

Where can I use my INPEX amenity card?

 You can use your INPEX amenity card for in-flight food and beverages during work travel with Virgin Australia, as well as at the following merchants at the Darwin International Airport:

Northern Common and Relay. 

Can I top up my account/card?

No, your card can only be topped up by INPEX. Your card will be topped up with your travel allocation before you commence travel.

What happens when my INPEX card expires?

Your card has a 1-year expiry which you can view when you log into your card portal. When the card reaches its expiry, you will receive a new one. 

Are there any limits to my INPEX card?

For every flight you take to travel to and from work, $30 will be loaded onto your INPEX card. You can make multiple transactions during your travel until the total allocation is used.

Can I split a payment with my INPEX card?

The allocation is $30 per flight. 

Virgin has advised that split payments are not permitted. This means that purchases cannot be made using a combination of the INPEX amenity card and a personal payment method within a single in-flight transaction. 

Travellers should keep this in mind when selecting in-flight food and beverages. Items up to the total maximum allocation may be purchased using the INPEX amenity card, either in one or multiple transactions. 

Any food or beverage items that exceed the total allocation for travel must be purchased in a separate transaction using a personal payment method. 

What happens if I don’t spend the total travel allocation during my travel?

If you don't use the maximum allocation during your travel, it does not carry over to future travel or accumulate in any way. Any unused portion will simply expire at the end of your travel.

How do I access/find my INPEX card?

You can access your INPEX card anytime via your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Haven't activated your card? Visit truerewards.cards and complete the verification process with your OTP. You will then be able to view your INPEX card and add the card to your wallet for ongoing use.

I’m unable to add my card to my Apple wallet.

Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of Apple software/operating system on your phone, then:

  • Agree to all Apple terms and conditions (i.e. iCloud, Apple ID)
  • Shut down and restart your phone
  • Try to add your card again

If you are still experiencing issues, here are some other tips:

  • Try on both WiFi and cellular 4G/5G network connections
  • You’re not connected to VPN
  • Time zone settings set to automatic
  • Apple ID – Check payment & delivery details are valid, in your name and correct postcode
  • General > Settings > Device name – no emoji’s or symbols in the device name

I’m unable to add my card to my Google wallet.

To add your Digital Visa card, ensure your Google wallet is set to Default Payment and your notifications are turned on for Google Wallet.

  1. Open Google Pay/Google Wallet app.
  2. Click Customer Account in top righthand corner
  3. Click Payment Setup and ensure there are FIVE items ticked.
    *There must be 5 ticks for the card to work*
  4. Ensure notifications are turned ON

Alternatively, you can add the card details manually to your wallet from the True Rewards Card Portal.

What Apple devices are compatible with Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac with Touch ID, Mac with an Apple Pay enabled iPhone or Apple Watch and the latest OS.
